Our safeguarding commitment

Coventry Diversity Forumis committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk who take part in our programmes and events. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we expect every volunteer, staff member, and visitor to share that commitment.

Our commitment

• We create a safe, welcoming environment where everyone can participate without fear of harm, discrimination, or abuse.
• We take all concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or adult at risk seriously, and respond promptly and appropriately.
• We work within a trauma-informed approach, recognising the impact of abuse and vulnerability on the people we support.
• We signpost to specialist services rather than attempting to provide emergency accommodation or specialist casework ourselves — see our support directory for a full list.

Referring a concern about someone else

Professionals and family members can use our referral form to refer someone into our advocacy and signposting support. This form is not monitored in real time and should never be used for emergencies.
